Magic is in the air!

Ohhh, I can't say enough about these little gems. I am so glad that we did this. It couldn't have happened at a better time. As you can or cannot see in the photo with stardust covering everything, the pages are put together in order and put into baggies. They are waiting for their covers made of satin.
I am going to meet a very good friend tonight and show him a set of the pages. He is an awesome artist. Conversation is always magic with him, I think we really listen to each other's ideas and challenge each other. Stop in to his site and check out his work.
Well, this is a tiny part of my studio, thank goodness for stardust tools! My mannequin girl is always there to keep me company. She came from the antique mall with a broken nose. She will wear a veil until I have time to fix her nose. Sometimes late at night I have to turn her away from me, she can startle me if I get lost in work and look up. I call her my inner critic, sometimes she has to go sit in a corner.
Back to the chunky book! I want to thank Ang for all of the encouragement she gave me. Ang, all I can say is "thank you, you are going to love it!" It was so wonderful getting the packages in the mail at different times and taking time to really check out the art. Each person put their own magic on paper and our theme of childhood Christmas shows a lot of happy memories. Here are a few funny tongue in cheek footnotes about this:
JudieMacawhead, now that your pages are done, will the gangster threats stop? haha (somehow, she had the idea that I twisted her arm at gun point to do this)
David, I love it that you jumped in made an awesome piece of art! I had no idea when I said "embellish," you would put enough stuff to decorate a small tree.
Hey everyone, he had to send his art in box as big as my printer! LOL By the way, I blessed you a few times when your cards and Lisa and Judie's cards would fight with each other and get all tangled up! haha
To everyone: What a wonderful job by all! You all looked so innocent and full of joy. The timing was perfect. It came in the middle of a nasty relationship break up....off the hook personal problems.......and the death of my 20 year old nephew. At first I thought, what the fark am I going to do? Well, believe it or not, this saved me from myself. I threw myself into it heart and soul and the healing began like I knew it would.
I for one, will cherish this little book and remember it as my life line.
I love you all!

I am (now) so happy I did this. LOL There were a few times that I wondered what I had done to myself and you guys. It's magical thinking about all the pages together and of their healing powers for you, Judi. I absolutely cannot wait to see them. I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve.

What a wonderful post, Judi. (oops, I thought about that tangle business after I did it but it was too late!)

I have not been in the Christmas spirit at all, but your post has excited me and I cannot wait to get the little chunky book. With your final artistic touch, I know it will be totally wonderful!

your post made me smile and gave me a bit of redemption in a process i am working through right now. thank you for all that you have done and you have done an awesome job. i am so excited for you and anxiously await the book and would be interested to know what your friend thinks of the book. Coming from me, the death of a son, husband with cancer, loss of family, loss of feeling like i belonged, mail art gave me so much. it literally saved my life so i can so relate to you. Many many hugs and love coming your way.
