Thank you to all prayers

I gave this advice to Annie recently. I'm amazed at
how mean kids can be to each other.
I thought it was worth sharing.

THANK you for emails and messages of prayers and good thoughts.

Many have been answered. Thoughts and wishes have arrived as realities.

When you accept the fact that you don't know what to do or where to turn,

you have to ask for help, something I'm not good at! I've asked for help, I've

cried and let people see inside my heart where I put things that hurt and sting.

That was a big step for me. I don't feel weaker, I feel liberated and at peace.

Some things are out of our control and I have to sit back

and let the Universe sort it out and handle it. I am finding peace.

A friend sent this to me.

There is enormous power in peace. Worry wastes time, resentment destroys effectiveness and anxiety drains energy.

Peace comes easily and naturally when you stop fighting against what is.

Accept the reality of this moment!

Peace is what you find when you let go of everything else. Peace requires no real effort other than the realization that you already have it.

Beneath the noise, beneath the chatter, there is beauty, and there is peace. Visualize your concerns as moving quickly away from you, until they disappear into nothingness.

Kai, I'm visualizing your peace sign and peaceful spirit.

All hugs were accepted with open arms!

I might finish my tea time ladies.

Should they have....chocolate?

Oh hellya!

Have you noticed how many unfinished pieces I have?

There is a story there somewhere, I'll ask the therapist.

Thank you again everyone...I am fine.

I will overcome because I am me.....and I say so!

finding the beauty

(CLICK ON ALL PICTURES TO ENLARGE)
Everyday at noon the turkey parade begins in the backyard!

Wow, this is this afternoon......looking up through my tree.

No photo altering. That was the sun peeping through!

You know, we really don't look too bad considering it was the wee
hours of the morning TWO NIGHTS AGO! This is where I almost lost my camera. The flash
made security come looking for a camera. We were at the track and I
guess it scares the horses....ooops! WE DIDN'T KNOW THAT! Camera got put away!
I just let my hair down out of a scruncci.....boing!

Where in the BLEEP is the beauty here? Help out me!
But look below....7:15 PM. The sun was red over the Ohio mountains!
Awesome!

Burning the candle at both ends!

Wow! I've been on a nonstop party this week. Day and night.

Too much to explain, all work related.
LOOK OUT GLITTER GIRLS I'M LEARNING TO

PARTY LIKE A ROCK STAR!

I did however, take time to look for the most "unattractive" thing

I could find and try to see the beauty in it. Here we go!

This is a tree in my yard that I have NO USE for! It has these big

nasty thorns growing out of it and they fall off to the ground. I mow around

"NASTY" tree and get a flat tire on my tractor every year, except this one.

(((((((knock on wood))))))))

I did a close up and I guess it is kind of pretty in a way.

Inspired by Gemma

This is a place I claim as CALM.
Gemma's Sept. 14th message about finding beauty
inspired me to write this.
By the way, Gemma your new BLOG is beautiful, just like you!
I will post a link to her blog at the end of this message.
Finding a place to get your art and inspiration.
Looking for beauty in a world that isn't always pretty and pleasant.

Close your eyes for a moment.

Banish any preconceived feelings or stereotype ideas, throw away all prejudices, laws and rules.
Squash any images you connect to the word "beauty,"......when you open your eyes again open them wide with fresh clarity.
Put your whole self into it and hold nothing back!
Your eyes have to be wide-eyed open, astonished and amazed by the beauty you are about to discover.
Drink from your senses. Make love to God's universe and
be unafraid of what that means.
Just open your eyes, open your heart, open your soul..........and watch it scream like a jaguar, listen to your own heartbeat, take deep breaths, ............
ahhhhh, now you are seeing God as I see him.

If the love of art pulses through your veins as
it does mine, it is a God given talent. He will
also take you to the places to find your serenity, creativity and clarity.
This is the place I go to get my delicious art! Find your place!
and when you find it....don't forget to say "thank you."
Gemma's beautiful desert Garden!

LUCKY ME

This is my all time favorite design!
It was the award winning plate the same year I joined
the Glitter Sisters. The dragonflies are a very
special symbol to me. I always have good things
happen when I see one.....always!
On to this......
So here goes 8 things about me that you might not know or care about;
I took this from Ninnie's BLOG months ago and saved as a draft and found it today.

1) I've had both of my legs broken. Once in a very serious car accident when I was 7. Again when I was 12, in a sled riding adventure riding an "old metal green Buick car hood" down a hill called lover's leap. And skate boarders think they're BAD!

2) I have a ticket for a gigantic FALL BASH raffle tomorrow and I think I will win the Lexus! (((((me jumping up and down))))))) I'll even settle for the money!

3) I wanted to be a nurse when I was in jr. high. I took all of the required classes in high school and joined the Future Nurses club of America then realized I pass out when I see blood or needles in action! I must have loved the uniform (???)

4) I have to see the play Wicked on Broadway...it's a MUST! It just has to happen. Universe, are you listening? Lisa, I worded that properly! My wishes have been a little too vague in the past.

5) I HATED having red curly hair and freckles until I was an adult.

6) I believe we all have mental telepathy but haven't figured out how to use it yet.

7) I sing at the top of my lungs every morning in my car with loud music. It gets my soul fired up for the day. Do people look at me strange? YES Do I care? NO.

8) I believe our departed loved ones visit us and send us signs they are around, if we just pay attention.
Ninnie, I had to copy this one from you, I'm with you on this one girlfriend!.................Amen

So there are the 8 things about me. If you read this you have to do the same...now TAKE it away glitter girls!

Art photo---it's all about color!

ALTERED IMAGES!
(CLICK ON ALL PHOTOS TO ENLARGE)
In a photo program try a little magic!
Take a photo and convert it to half tones, you should end up with a black and white photo. Save under a new name.
Open original color photo and "cut" the parts of the photo that you want to keep. Example; I "cut" the hair. Open the black and white image again and paste as new object.
convert BACK TO COLOR!
I then colored eyes and lips with brush tools AND ADDED
lens flare star bursts or orbs.
Image looks very haunting......I'm using it in a presentation called, "It's all about COLOR." I love working in PhotoPaint!

You gotta LOVE Andy!

60 Minutes Correspondent Andy Rooney (CBS)
As I grow in age, I value women over 40 most of all. Here are just a few reasons why: A woman over 40 will never wake you in the middle of the night and ask, "What are you thinking?" She doesn't care what you think.
If a woman over 40 doesn't want to watch the game , she doesn't sit around whining about it. She does something she wants to do, and it's usually more interesting.
Women over 40 are dignified.
They seldom have a screaming match with you at the opera or in the middle of an expensive restaurant. Of course, if you deserve it, they won't hesitate to shoot you if they think they can get away with it.
Older women are generous with praise, often undeserved.
They know what it's like to be unappreciated.
Women get psychic as they age. You never have to confess your sins to a woman over 40.
Once you get past a wrinkle or two, a woman over 40 is far sexier than her younger counterpart.
Older women are forthright and honest. They'll tell you right off if you are a jerk if you are acting like one.
You don't ever have to wonder where you stand with her.
Yes, we praise women over 40 for a multitude of reasons.
Unfortunately, it's not reciprocal. For every stunning, smart, well-coiffed, hot woman over 40, there is a bald, paunchy relic in yellow pants making a fool of himself with some 22-year old waitress. Ladies, I apologize. For all those men who say, "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?", here's an update for you. Nowadays 80% of women are against marriage. Why?
Because women realize it's not worth buying an entire pig just to get a little sausage!
Andy Rooney is a really smart guy!

Rebirth or face lift of an old canvas

If you have an old canvas that has been painted on repeatedly and you think it's time for the trash.....think again! If not, you can go to a thrift store and buy a cheap painting done with bad art! You know exactly what I mean. I remember them hanging on my parent's walls. There weren't exactly dogs playing cards but close!

You might have a favorite image that you are obsessed with. Start saving the image in every form you can. I LOVE the MONA LISA!
I started saving every image I found of her. Greeting card Monas, internet Monas, Dr's office magazine Monas, my magazine Monas......you get the picture!

Save....save....save....!

Using Modge Podge or any other collage medium glue the images to the canvas!

This one is not finished but the canvas is covered with every Mona I could find. Next will be the embellishing! Threads, beads, metals, buttons, ribbons, glitter ......... with a glossy diamond glaze or triple thick gel or spray!

MY wonderful glitter Mona girls!
This will go in Annie's room, she LOVES it!

Breathless in Ohio

I just got back from the most beautiful scenery on the planet.

Green was the theme. I honestly had visual overload on Saturday with colors and

images of unique magical things and people. I was in the Sugar Creek area, the Ohio Amish country. It was like a visit to another land. Here are a few photos to give only a hint of my trip. Wouldn't this first photo below be a Monet dream canvas. It was taken at Tappan Lake.
Once again I had to pull my car over to take in the beauty of the landscape. If you click on them they should enlarge for the full effect. The photo of the little red car was taken at a rest stop. I was knocked down a peg or two with my car detail bragging! What a beautiful little red baby!
The Amish images are taken from internet websites. My camera's batteries were dead and I didn't plan on photographing people. They do not like their photo taken and I respect that belief.

However, I had the most amazing time with a friend.
We did the tourist traps, we took a buggy ride, we went to a winery and a lot of his favorite haunts. Good food, good wine, beautiful country and weather and wonderful company. It doesn't get any better than this! I had my art supplies but like I said....it was sensory OVERLOAD!

I had multi mixed up image dreams that night because I just could not process it all.

Kai, if you haven't been here....please go! I envision you as our lady of nature!

It will take your breath away!
